Joy.
The very air smelt of it.
On this morning in particular, the students were no longer sleepy, as they usually were. Rather, they were erupting in excitement.
“How much longer?” they asked each other repeatedly, as they stood waiting to board the buses in the distance.

After a final touch-up to their very own masterpieces, the children lined up near a row of washbasins to get the color off their hands. Aiding them were slightly older students from Dubai Scholars. The children, both old and young, blended together better than mac-and-cheese. All the while they chattered excitedly about what they had done, and what was coming up next.
Through Hand games and Icebreakers, the A-level students had done everything they could to keep the children happy and, most of all, tend to all their needs. It wasn’t hard to believe that these children are almost as technologically advanced as we are today. Almost all of them had trotted over with a tabletor a phone in their hands, when introducing themselves(and their games) to the others.
This was on the way to the Bio Farm that they were to visit next. After a round of painting with their fingers and vegetables, it was time for some zesty adventure.
Together, the children went dune-bashing and hoola-hooping, played hopscotch and finally, when they were exhausted, they sat in royally-decorated divans and chatted with each other.

After about two hours of sheer enjoyment, they headed back to the farmhouse, where the children ate, while the A-level students dutifully served them. It was only after the others were done that the students themselves ate.
Finally, it was time to leave. After a huge round of photographs and a hurried exchange of phone numbers, the students parted their ways, and hoped they would meet again. It had been a magical day, after all!
